Proofing Policy
At 1515 Companies, we want to ensure that every product we print is exactly what you envision. Your approval to proceed with printing serves as confirmation that you have thoroughly reviewed the proof and agree that all content is accurate. By giving your approval, you release 1515 Companies from liability for any errors found after production begins.
The Importance of Proofing
Proofing is a critical step in the printing process. Whether you’ve provided your own artwork or we’ve designed it for you, it is your responsibility to carefully review all elements of the proof. Please take your time to check spelling, phone numbers, links, QR Codes, fonts, image quality, placement, and every other detail.
Once the proof is approved, the project moves into production, and no changes can be made without additional fees.
Electronic Proofs
Electronic proofs offer a close representation of your final printed product, including text placement and overall design. However, please be aware that colors may not appear exactly as they will on the final print. This is because monitors display colors in RGB, while printing uses CMYK or Pantone systems. Depending on your monitor’s settings—brightness, contrast, and color adjustment—the colors you see on your screen may differ slightly from the printed piece.
Additionally, the size of images may appear larger or smaller depending on your screen resolution. 1515 Companies cannot be held responsible for slight color differences or sizing variations unless they are outside of our ink tolerance specifications.
Final Proof Approval
To avoid any potential errors, we do not move forward with production until the proof is fully approved by you, the client. Please make sure to carefully review all details before providing approval. 1515 Companies cannot be held responsible for any errors, including spelling mistakes, layout issues, or image quality, once the proof is approved.
Text and Spelling
While we strive to ensure there are no grammatical or spelling errors in the proof, it is ultimately your responsibility to verify all text. Once the proof has been approved, we are not liable for any text errors in the final printed product.
Images and Graphics
If you are providing your own images, it is essential that they are of high resolution. We will endeavor to use only royalty-free images for any custom designs we create, but if images provided by you violate any copyright or trademark laws, 1515 Companies is not responsible for any resulting legal issues or costs.
Project Cancellation
If you need to cancel a project, please notify us in writing with a signed request. We will charge for any hours or costs already incurred in the development of the project up to the time of the cancellation request.
Pausing Project Development
If you wish to pause the development of your project, a written request must be submitted and signed by an authorized client representative. The delay period cannot exceed 28 days. If the delay goes beyond 28 days without further communication, we will consider the project canceled and charge for any work completed up to that point.
Claims and Defects
Claims for any defects, damages, or shortages must be submitted in writing within three (3) business days of receiving your order. If a claim is not submitted within this period, it will be considered an acknowledgment that the order has been received and that it meets the agreed-upon specifications.
